Gestalt psychotherapy

A safe place for reflection

Individual therapy for adults & adolescents seeking meaning, understanding, and support through life's complexities.

About

Psychotherapy is a safe space woven between clients and therapist, where awareness and change can grow through authentic presence and acceptance. Rather than aiming for correction or ready-made answers, the therapeutic work invites a stance of curiosity towards what is present – the experience, emotions, and ways we connect with ourselves and others. From a relational and existential perspective, therapy emerges through the encounter – in moments when something becomes felt. In this shared space, akin to the holding environment described by Winnicott, safety and presence allow for spontaneous expression, a disposition of discovery and exploration, re-meaning-making, and connection with parts of the self that once needed to be disguised or hidden. This process unfolds in its own time, guided by the readiness and boundaries of the clients.

Approach

A space for psychotherapy and counseling focusing on the creation of a safe and authentic therapist–client relationship. The therapeutic process focuses on cultivating highthened awareness and emotional expression through connecting to the individual’s relational history, early experiences, and significant relationships.

Psychotherapy begins with present-moment experiences, through feeling in contact with emotions, thoughts, and bodily sensations, supporting emotional development, meaning and inner connections making. The goal is to identify recurring patterns of experience and how early life relationships affected us, supporting the integration of fragmented experiences and sensations.

An important phase of therapy involves connecting with the “inner child,” which represents unmet needs and emotions from childhood. Through recognition, self-compassion, and the integration of these experiences into one’s personal narrative, clients develop a more coherent, authentic, and fulfilling relationship with themselves, with others, and with life

Before the first session

After expressing your interest in psychotherapy or counseling, an initial contact will take place in order to explore your concerns and needs, and to assess whether working together would be the most appropriate therapeutic option for you. If determined that another professional or therapeutic approach would better address your needs, a referral to an appropriate professional or service will be provided
